Large White

Most common between June and August

Small White

Most common between June and August

Green-veined White

Apr to Sep. Often seen on Bluebells and around moist woodland margins.

Orange Tip

Mid April to Early June.

Small Copper

April to October

Common Blue

May to September

Red Admiral

Begins to arrive from Europe in May. Seen up to early October.

Painted Lady

Migrates from N Africa and Spain in May/June. Seen as late as October.

Small Tortoiseshell

Emerge from hibernation in March and can be seen as late as December!

Peacock

Hibernates. Has been seen from Early March through to late October.

Comma

This once southern species is now seen regularly from March to August.

Small Heath

May to September.

Ringlet

June to August. Usually seen in wet grassy areas, ditches etc.
