19 Jul 2008 - Kirkstone Descent

Take the bus to Kirkstone Pass Inn, then descend into the valley passing a 'tragic' water and a little gem of 17th century lakeland. Part of the Ullswater Walking Festival.

Start: 9:50am at the Ullswater Information Centre, Glenridding.

Booking is essential, either phone 017684 82414 or visit the Information Centre in Glenridding.

The event is free - although bus fare is required.

The walk is almost 9 miles but is either downhill or level. It is graded Moderate. Walking boots are essential.

Duration is 6 hrs.
